Founder
An experienced business leader and investor, with a proven record in the retail, supply, and service industries for building profitable businesses and enhancing shareholder value.
John’s previous role was as a Director of Dunnes Stores with specific responsibility for the retailer’s group supply chain and all corporate services. John spent over ten years with DCC owned Allied Foods, transforming a traditional wholesaler into Ireland’s most profitable supply chain and food services business.
He was a Director of DCC Foods & Sercom Solutions division. John also held senior management roles in Fyffes UK. He has specialised in business re-organisation, development and building shareholder value throughout his career.
Gerard Gaffney

Holding numerous Director level positions in PLCs & PEs in the UK & Ireland over the last 25 years, Gerard has acquired a vast wealth of experience.
Gerard is accomplished in supply chain management and holds an exemplary track record of delivering strategic direction, practical operations management, and tangible process improvements to high-value operations on a consistent basis.
Offering a comprehensive end-to-end understanding of supply chain set-up and management, Gerard has advanced in problem solving, decision making, and logistical planning, adding value and profitability to businesses in both the short and long term.

Business Analyst, B.A. (Hons) PG Dip
Fiona’s role as Business Analyst/Developer provides key business insight and software support services for Donworth and its businesses and clients. An experienced Qlikview developer, Fiona works closely with the management team to develop and deliver focused business information to support strategic and operational decision making.
Previously Fiona held roles in DCC, in management support roles within Allied, a supply chain and logistics provider, and Revios Reinsurance, a German financial reinsurance services specialist, based in Dublin. Prior to this, Fiona worked overseas for 10 years in Germany and the Middle-East.
Fiona holds a B.A.(Hons) PG Dip in Marketing Management, is a native German speaker, and fluent in French.
Thomas Haughton
Consultant Executive Chef
Thomas works with Donworth as consultant Executive Chef for food business Galmere, bringing his creative and knowledgeable highly accomplished skill set to its New Product Development offering. His career as Executive Chef includes such prestigious restaurants as the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links, Mount Falcon Estate Hotel, the Westbury Hotel, Harvey Nichols in Dublin and the world renowned K Club Resort. Thomas has over three decades’ experience training and working alongside some of the finest chefs and culinary professionals. Additionally, he has vast experience working on recipe development for food production, continuously researching and up-skilling to stay ahead of consumer taste trends.
Having experience in both restaurants and food production means that Galmere can bring a unique offering for its private label and brand clients, ensuring on trend, top quality development. Thomas also worked with the inhouse team to create the recipes for Galmere’s multi award winning Pestle + Mortar pesto brand, its new plant friendly Roots and Shoots, and branded clients.
